I’ve written about my opinions on the state of basketball here in Australia a number of times on the blog, as I feel there is a lot more that can be done to improve the state, exposure and profitability of sport in this county.

And in an effort to do something, I’m going to continue to share my thoughts, and the thoughts of others.

No matter the “state” of basketball here in Australia,  the backbone has been the Australian Boomers men’s basketball team. It’s one of the most well-known Aussie sporting teams to have competed on the international stage. With a rich history dotted with Olympic highs and lows, this documentary follows the Boomers’ story from humble beginnings at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games right through until the present, and their quest for an elusive Olympic Games medal.

If you’re a basketball fan, it’s a great watch… and it’s 20mins videos like this that gives me hope that Basketball here in Australia can get back to the glory days!
