My New ‘Must Have’ Shoe

I just came across these Twitter Nike Dunks and oh do I want them.

It’s my birthday next week – So if anyone can magically make a size 12 appear in my office I’ll give you free consulting for a year or a really long back massage – which ever you see more value in.

15 Real-World 4HWW Lifestyle Design Case Studies [+ Vote For Me]

Happy New Year Folks…

From Denmark to India, from college students to retirees, from yoga instructors to engineers, over on Tim Ferriss’ blog there a bunch of awesome lifestyle design case studies based on the Four Hour Work Week methodology.

Like Tim’s says “These videos represent a real-life crash course in the many paths and practicalities of lifestyle design. I hope you love watching them as much as I did…”

Check them out at: Cold Remedy: 15 Real-World Lifestyle Design Case Studies (Now It’s Your Turn)

The video I posted in my recent 30DC vs 4HWW post has made the cut, and Tim is looking for the ‘best case study’, so I would really appreciate your vote over at Tim’s Blog… and in return please hit me up on twitter [@preneur] and let me know how I can help you implement your 2010 resolutions/goals/ambitions (whether it’s emailing you once a week to make sure you’re on track OR coming to visit you in person if I win the trip)

As a ‘fun entry’ I also asked Em, one of my virtual assistants to post a video entry as well…

Job Interviews – The Toughest Question

Job InterviewWe’ve added a bunch (well 6) new staff to the Infiniti Team over the past few weeks; and the thing that I always find interesting is the ‘job interview process’.

Now I am not a big fan of the time these things take, but it is a good review of human nature.

Anyway, we always enjoying throwing in a tricky question or three…

I got this one via email from my best mate today and I must say.. it’s a good one… so make sure you play along at home..

You are driving down the road in your BMW sports car on a wild, stormy night, when you pass by a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the bus:

1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.

2. An old friend who once saved your life.

3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your BMW? Think before you continue reading.

You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first … Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.

The Greatest Answer…

The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer.

He simply answered: ‘I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams.’

Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations; and never forget to ‘Think Outside of the Box.’

Now just like all good viral emails… the obvious ’suggested’ response, was to run the old lady over and put her out of her misery, have magical sex with the perfect partner on the hood of the car, then drive off with the old friend for a few beers – but it just doesn’t seem to have the ‘punch’ I’d want in a team member.

Joel Comm + IPhone App + Daily Show = Hysterical

For those of you playing along at home, you’d be aware of my love of iPhone apps – not only the enjoyment they bring, but the opportunity they bring for developers.

Although with any success, there are people trying to pull your finger… Sorry I mean, people trying to pull you down – and as a fellow developer I feel Joel’s pain. Best of luck in this fight buddy.

P.S. In the next few weeks (possibly months if I don’t get my sh*t together) you’ll see me talking a lot more about IPhone apps – with the launch of 3 new applications, a new podcast dedicated to iPhone app development and some other uber cool stuff…

What Really Happens When The Guru’s Get Together…

Ever wonder what actually goes on when the leading internet marketers catch up, plan the evil schemes and get upto shenanigans ?

Well a few years ago, everyone got together to try and beat the ‘Google Slap’ – This is an very exact, accurate and unequivocal rendering of the conversations that where occurring during that meeting.

Actually – I just came across this cartoon on my backup drive – I had it created a few years ago, for a launch that never eventuated… Anyway, I thought I would dust it of and throw it up here.

For those that can’t work it out; the characters here are: (left to right)
John Carlton, Brad Fallon, John Reese, Andy Jenkins (looking kinda pregnant – sorry about that mate – not not sure why you’re not talking about your Emmy.), Ed Dale, Frank Kern (apparently no-one wants to see his face ?!?) , Jason MoFo, Dan Raine (and his little pick thong), Mike Filsame, Rich Schefren, Jeff Walker, Armond Morin, Yaro Starak , Yanik Silver (was doing some part-time stand-up at the time), Guy Kawasaki, Alex Mandossian, Scott Ginsberg, Seth Godin and Perry Marshall.
