Not only did Fleur + Sarah organise a Royal Wedding Party at our place1 the other week, but with my own wedding coming up next year – invites and parties have been on my mind…

If you had the pull, the power and the presence – who would you invite to your dream dinner party?

Here’s how mine would play out…

Image the exchange that Tony Robbins could draw from LeBron James about how a 17 year old kid could not only survive, but create a name for himself as a person amongst the worlds biggest egos in the NBA. And the advice the greatest of them all, Michael Jordan could provide.

What about the tête-à-tête between the world greatest pick-up artist Neil Strauss and the worlds most famous womanizer Bill Clinton.

The lessons that could be drawn from the stories John Mayer, Robin Williams and Al Gore would share about ‘performing’ for a crowd.

The debates Malcom Gladwell, Nelson Mandela, Bono and Arnold Schwarzeneggar would have about changing a society.

Steve Jobs, Bernard Arnault 2 and Oprah about shaping popular cultures opinions, tastes and desires.

Kanye West, Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong, and Tom Cruise must have some lessons for everyone on self belief.

If you’re the business type you’d really want to be a fly on the wall for the discussion between Michael Bloomberg, Warren Buffet, Mark Zuckerberg and Biz Stone on growing and valuing businesses.

We all know Jay-Z isn’t a “businessman, he’s a business man“, but just think about what Will Smith, Elle McPherson, and The Donald could add on creating and living a brand.

And imagine dissecting the dialectic between Rupert Murdock Seth Godin, Sergey Brin & Larry Page, Kevin Rose and Tim Ferris on media and publishing … and I am sure Tucker Max would have something to add.

I’d also love to invite Chris Rock, George Clooney and Brad Pitt, but I’m not sure what mischief they would get up to.

Oh yeah.. and for the ornithologists of you out there, Rihanna, Heidi Klum, Alicia Silverstone, Kate Hudson, Scarlett Johansson, Vanessa Hudgens, Jennifer Anniston, Blake Lively and Pippa Middleton

So.. Send me an @Preneur on Twitter and let me know who’d you invite to your party.

Happy New Year Folks…

From Denmark to India, from college students to retirees, from yoga instructors to engineers, over on Tim Ferriss’ blog there a bunch of awesome lifestyle design case studies based on the Four Hour Work Week methodology.

Like Tim’s says “These videos represent a real-life crash course in the many paths and practicalities of lifestyle design. I hope you love watching them as much as I did!”

Check them out at: Cold Remedy: 15 Real-World Lifestyle Design Case Studies (Now It’s Your Turn)

The video I posted in my recent 30DC vs 4HWW post has made the cut, and Tim is looking for the ‘best case study’, so I would really appreciate your vote over at Tim’s Blog… and in return please hit me up on twitter [@preneur] and let me know how I can help you implement your 2010 resolutions/goals/ambitions (whether it’s emailing you once a week to make sure you’re on track OR coming to visit you in person if I win the trip)

As a ‘fun entry’ I also asked Em, one of my virtual assistants to post a video entry as well…

We’ve added a bunch (well 6) new staff to the Infiniti Team over the past few weeks; and the thing that I always find interesting is the ‘job interview process’.

Now I am not a big fan of the time these things take, but it is a good review of human nature.

Anyway, we always enjoying throwing in a tricky question or three…

I got this one via email from my best mate today and I must say… it’s a good one… so make sure you play along at home…

You are driving down the road in your BMW sports car on a wild, stormy night, when you pass by a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the bus:

1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.

2. An old friend who once saved your life.

3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your BMW? Think before you continue reading.

You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first … Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.

The Greatest Answer…

The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer.

He simply answered: ‘I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams.’

Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations; and never forget to ‘Think Outside of the Box.’

Now just like all good viral emails… the obvious ‘suggested’ response, was to run the old lady over and put her out of her misery, have magical sex with the perfect partner on the hood of the car, then drive off with the old friend for a few beers – but it just doesn’t seem to have the ‘punch’ I’d want in a team member.

I’m not sure how to introduce this video… It’s a very cool rap about PPC Internet Marketing.

Here are the Lyrics…

LYRICS:
you want to start SEM well heres what to do
focus on a product and find a niche too
you want to get the listing
I’ll give you some assisting
SEo & SEM, they are coexisting
to cover all the bases
you must have patience
research all your keywords and your phrases
they all sound good but they may not be a factor
several ways to check and I prefer word tracker
very vague phrases should get denied
longtail keyphrases are more qualified
check the cpc, that’s the cost per click
make a judgement call, is is worth that hit
if it is then keep it
if its not then delete it
stay within your budget, that’s not a big secret
track your results, reporting is critical
and set your goals right be Google analytical
Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing
if your business local make sure you geo targeting
the user only clicks on what sounds best
make sure you use very descriptive ad text
its a must that you use correct landing pages
if they see what they want, they easily persuaded
when they convert that’s a win win
when your site is bookmarked they’ll come back again
cpc will go, ctr will skyrocket
roi will get better, that’s more money in your pocket
and if you smart, you’ll invest in more phrases
but that’s up to you, I’m just giving you the basics
you got it then fine, if you don’t hit rewind
listen closely and play it back 1 more time
that’s just the start anymore might cost
I have to deal with my boss
if I tell you the secret sauce
like using paid search to enhance seo
and revolving ad text is the way to
uh oh, I gotta go, that’s too much for you to know
but if you want more, wait for the next video
