Indeed these are the questions we need to ponder. These are one of the things that I've been trying to wrap up in my mind.

Very informative and eye opening. more power!

In that case you should also ad ignorance to that list...Look for your education POVERTY is defined as the lack of basic needs for ones existence...what you are talking about is just MISSED OPPORTUNITIES...there is a huge difference folks.

Pete, I love your enthusiasm and the way you've set up your Blog so don't take this the wrong way...but the way this subject is slanted reminds me of a certain Internet Marketing GURU (who shall remain nameless) who invoked the name of a well known children's charity simply to gain credibility for his own product launch.

This was embarrassing to see...and was a new low for the Internet Marketing community...I'm glad to see that the same tactics has not been copied by others.

By the way you've got some great content...Best wishes.

you raise good questions and I think it is important to look at poverty in broad form includeing emotional and oppurtunity. When I think about poverty I think about perspective and feel this is really important. The place you stand means certain things are more important than others. For example with out basic food and shelter are you going to be able to look at emotional poverty or does this come when you have basics?? It is a great conversation and I love your blog layout!
