HARO (Help a Reporter Out) is a great tool for getting yourself out there and in touch with journos needing expert opinions and quotes…

But I’ve been testing it as a source for unique, high quality blog content – Check out the video for more info..

    Great idea.
I subscribe to Haro and it’s brilliant.
I like the Angle of coming in from the other way – very cool.
I will be trying this for sure.
    Thanks for what you do

I also subscribe to HARO and have had great experiences getting free publicity.

I run a similar site to HARO called findasource.org (sorry for the plug). If you are familiar with HARO, you will understand how it works. However, there are three differences in the services currently. We have been initially been building our expert base so we are not accepting media requests. Secondly, we will never filter media requests as HARO has admitted to. And finally, we also have a much better matching system that make the media requests concentrate on a specific expertise rather than having experts filter through all the noise (ie an Astronomy professor doesn’t need to filter through a request about the new Facebook Vanity URLS)

    Just my 2 cents…
